Mandatory Paid Sick Leave

Effective July 1st, 2015, all employers in California must provide at least three days (24 hours) of paid sick leave to their employees, which can be rolled over. The new law also subjects employers to new civil liability for alleged discrimination against employees who request time off. It requires an extensive paper trail and notifications to employees.
