Thanks to action from small business owners like you, a permanent small business expensing limit of $500,000 has passed the House and Senate in the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act of 2015.

Please join NFIB in thanking Congress for their support. Thank Congress here.

The PATH Act passed the House by a vote of 318-109 on December 17th, and the Senate on December 18th by a vote of 65-33. The bill was signed into law that night. Permanent expensing will simplify tax preparation, improve cash flow, and make it easier for American small businesses to reinvest in themselves and their workforces. According to a study by the NFIB Research Foundation projects, this law means there could be 197,000 more jobs and $18.6 billion in higher economic productivity. View the study>>
