In 2014 HB 377 passed with
overwhelming bipartisan support. It lowers workers’ compensation costs by
making substantial changes to the Delaware Code designed to control premium
levels, including: 1) A 33 percent reduction in medical costs, phased in over a
three-year period. 2) Absolute caps, expressed as a percentage of Medicare
per-procedure reimbursements. 3) Increased independence for the Ratepayer
Advocate.
