Workers’ Compensation Costs Lowered

Date: November 04, 2014

In 2014 HB 377 passed with
overwhelming bipartisan support. It lowers workers’ compensation costs by
making substantial changes to the Delaware Code designed to control premium
levels, including: 1) A 33 percent reduction in medical costs, phased in over a
three-year period. 2) Absolute caps, expressed as a percentage of Medicare
per-procedure reimbursements. 3) Increased independence for the Ratepayer
Advocate.
