Whitings v. CBS Corp.

Date: June 08, 2012

The NFIB Legal Center frequently files in asbestos lawsuits to ensure that small business owners are not  subject to unreasonable liabilities. In this case, we filed in Massachusetts to address the question of whether a business owner has a duty to warn consumers of asbestos-related hazards if they neither manufactured, nor installed materials containing asbestos. We argued that Massachusetts should follow suit with other states which have held that middle-men have no such duty.
