[Video] NFIB's Dunkelberg: Don't Expect Much To Change After Mid-terms

Date: October 31, 2014

What the 2014 elections mean for Your Bottom Line

While some observers see Republicans taking control of the Senate after Tuesday’s mid-term elections, NFIB’s Bill Dunkelberg says don’t expect much to change in the short term.

Even
if a Republican-led Senate is more likely to take up legislation passed
by the House, very few will overcome a presidential veto.
Dunkelberg expects the president to continue to push his agenda through the regulatory process.
“Government
agencies – some as large as countries based on their budget – have
become ‘legislative bodies’ – fiefdoms that operate outside the control
of Congress, mostly because Congress refuses to reign them in,”
Dunkelberg said.
