Deceptively titled the “Education Initiative,” Ballot Question No. 3
this November will create a new, 2 percent Margin Tax on gross revenues, supposedly to raise money for schools—although the Legislature will determine how the funds would be spent.
In a special ballot sent to NFIB/Nevada members, 96 percent of small-business owners opposed the initiative. So what would Question 3 entail, and how is the campaign to defeat it progressing?
NFIB/Nevada State Director Randi Thompson and NFIB/Nevada Member Representative Julie Burke will answer these questions and others May 29 at 9 p.m. on BCN Talk, an online radio show.
Thompson and Burke will join BCN Talk hosts Robert Morgan and Gil Stonebarger for a discussion on the Margin Tax, and you can listen right from your computer simply by clicking here
and then clicking the yellow, microphone icon on the Vegas All Net Radio web page.
According to its web page, “BCN Talk is an entertaining, late-night styled conversation, education, and networking show for Las Vegas businesses.”
