Tax Day 2015: Small Business Reactions

We looked to Twitter for small business owners' reactions on filing taxes in 2015.

While many small business owners are sighing with relief upon completing this year’s taxes, others are anxious about the impact of new tax codes on their companies.

The average small business owner will devote 24 hours and pay more than $400 just to prepare and file federal taxes this year, according to the IRS. “High tax rates are a burden on small business, and the cost of compliance gets bigger every year as the tax code gets more complicated,” said NFIB President and CEO Dan Danner on taxes.

NFIB is advocating for small business tax reform. NFIB member and Ohio businessman Scott Lipps spoke to the House Small Business Committee on Tax Day, pushing for lower rates, fewer rules and equal treatment for small business owners.
