Stopped Attempts to Increase Taxes . . . Again

Author: Michelle Orrock Date: March 01, 2011

In 2009, NFIB led the successful opposition to Proposition 1A that would have extended the $13 billion tax increase that the Legislature and Governor Schwarzenegger imposed on Californians.  NFIB won that battle, but the war continued in 2010.  Again NFIB was successful in blocking attempts to raise income, sales, property, and car taxes all over again.  With an estimated $25 billion gap in 2011, the war against higher taxes continues.
