SMALL BUSINESS WELCOMES GOVERNOR PENCE WITH RESOUNDING OVATIONS

INDIANAPOLIS (March 5, 2015) Yesterday the National
Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) gathered hundreds of members for
their annual small business day at the capitol to discuss the impact of
potential policy and a path forward for Hoosier entrepreneurs in a state that
continues to lead the nation in economic policies and initiatives. The
highlight of the discussion came from Governor Mike Pence, a former small
business owner himself, as he addressed the crowd.

“Governor Pence has done an outstanding job making small
business a priority. While many politicians run campaigns that are filled with
nothing more than empty rhetoric, our Governor leads our state in a way that
leaves us with no doubt that small business is his priority.” Said NFIB Indiana
State Director Barbara Quandt. “Our members were truly humbled by his presence and
enthused with the message that he brought to our event.”

Governor Pence highlighted his experience as a small
business owner and truly expressed an understanding that many elected officials
are lacking. He spoke to a crowd of NFIB members that gave him multiple
standing ovations and were enthusiastically motivated by his support of
improving the education system, the economy and the regulatory environment that
many small business owners face.

“I look forward to watching Indiana small business grow and
prosper under Governor Pence’s continued leadership and on behalf of the
thousands of members at NFIB in Indiana, we express our sincere appreciation
for his continued commitment to making sure Main Street is a top priority.”
