Small Business Endorses Kolkhorst in Special Election

(AUSTIN, TX) Dec 1, 2014 — National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)/Texas, the state’s leading small business association, announced today their endorsement of State Representative Lois Kolkhorst (R-Brenham) in her campaign for Senate District 18.
“During her 13 years in the Texas Legislature, Lois Kolkhorst has consistently shown her support for small business.” said Will Newton, NFIB/Texas Executive Director. “Her priorities align with those of NFIB, as her record demonstrates standing for free enterprise, limited government, supporting entrepreneurship, and small business. Representative Kolkhorst and her husband Jim are long-time NFIB members and personally understand the value of small businesses and the jobs they create. We are pleased to support her.”
NFIB has 24,000 dues-paying members in Texas representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsement comes from NFIB’s Save America’s Free Enterprise (SAFE) Trust, the association’s political action committee, and is based on positions on key small business issues including healthcare, taxes, and labor and regulatory issues.
