Small Business Endorses Djou for Congress

Date: October 23, 2014

HONOLULU, Hawaii, Oct. 23, 2014—The voice of Main Street, Hawaii businesses today announced its endorsement of Charles Djou for Congress in the state’s First District.
“Charles Djou has been a vocal opponent of tax and regulatory increases in the state Legislature and has consistently supported NFIB positions on both state and federal levels,” said Lisa Goeas, vice president of political and grassroots for the National Federation of Independent Business, America’s largest and leading small-business association.
The endorsement of Djou (1st District) was made by NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the association’s political action committee, and is based the candidate’s position on key small business issues. NFIB has 350,000 dues-paying members across the nation, including 1,000 in Hawaii.
NFIB had endorsed Djou in his previous campaigns for Congress. “Djou is the proven, pro-small-business candidate in this race,” said Goeas. He was strongly pro-Main Street in the Legislature and in Congress and we would certainly welcome him back to Washington.
