Small Business Endorses AG Pam Bondi

Tallahassee, FL, August 22, 2014 — The National Federation of Independent Business/Florida, the state’s largest small business association, today announced its full support and endorsement of Attorney General Pam Bondi in her bid for re-election. The endorsement took place during an NFIB member meeting in Orlando.

“Attorney General Bondi worked tirelessly to protect small business owners from Obamacare, which is a great example of why Florida needs an attorney general who will stand up to protect our constitutional rights,” said Bill Herrle, NFIB/Florida executive director. “Bondi is well-versed in the issues facing NFIB’s members and we are confident that she will work to continue to improve Florida’s economy and make the state a better place to open, own, grow and operate a small business.”

Bondi’s advocacy for the lawsuit challenging Obamacare, to which NFIB was a plaintiff, combined with her positions on limiting the scope and growth of government, helped her earn the support of the small business community.

“Thank you to the members of the National Federation of Independent Business/Florida for their endorsement of my re-election efforts,” said Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi. “Florida must continue to develop and encourage business expansion and entrepreneurship, which can only be accomplished by standing up against federal government overreach. I look forward to our continued partnership in making Florida the best state to live, work and raise a family.”

There are over 10,000 NFIB small business owners in Florida, and even more small business employees and supporters, making this a significant endorsement in an important election year.  The endorsement comes from NFIB’s Save America’s Free Enterprise Trust, the association’s political action committee, and is based on positions on key small business issues including healthcare, taxes, and labor and regulatory issues.

Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage Florida’s members to help turn out the small business vote on Bondi’s behalf on Election Day.
