NFIB/Idaho’s annual Small Business Day at the Capitol on March 6 was another big hit with members. Both they and the legislators who come to speak to them have come to find Small Business Days extremely useful in shaping public policy.
Sens. Dean Mortimer and Marv Hagedorn gave members the latest information on the state budget and Idaho’s national Balanced Budget Amendment, and took the suggestions of attending small-business owners into serious consideration.
NFIB/Idaho State Director Suzanne Budge provided members a detailed analysis on legislation directly affecting their right to own, operate and grow their enterprises. Later in the day, members had a chance to talk directly with top legislators even more at a legislative reception.
If you missed this year’s Small Business Day at the Capitol, check this website later in the year for 2015’s. The more members we have attending, the better the small-business message is heard and remembered.
