Small Business Backs Collins for Reelection
Augusta (October 24, 2014) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) today
endorsed US Senator Susan Collins for reelection.
“She’s
one of the most thoughtful members of the Senate and she very clearly
understands the issues that matter to small business,” said NFIB Vice President Lisa Goeas. “Susan Collins is a strong voice for Maine
small businesses and our members strongly support her reelection.”
NFIB
ballots its members every session of Congress to identify their top
issues. Then it tracks the votes of
every member of the Senate and House and applies a score between zero and 100
percent. In the current session of
Congress, Sen. Collins has once again earned our Guardian of Small Business
Award for her strong record in support of Maine’s job creators..
“Susan
Collins has been accessible to our members over the years and she’s always been
very considerate of their needs,” said NFIB
Maine State Director David Clough.
“She’s been a strong advocate for small business on the toughest issues
and we are counting on her continued leadership.”
Collins’
endorsement comes from the NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action
committee. Small business owners are
influential in their communities and this year NFIB members in Maine will work
hard to see that she returns for another term.”
