With major national news outlets declaring Shelley Moore Capito the winner in the West Virginia Senate race, Gil White, state director of the National Federation of Independent Business, released the following statement:
“Shelley Moore Capito’s election is a big victory for West Virginia’s small businesses. She earned NFIB’s endorsement because of her commitment to Main Street. Our members are looking forward to working with her to undo the damage to small businesses caused by Obamacare and overreaching federal regulations.
“Shelley Moore Capito is someone who clearly understands the challenges facing West Virginia’s small businesses, and we believe she’ll do everything possible to create a level playing field where small businesses can grow and create jobs.”
NFIB is the state’s leading small-business association with 1,600 dues-paying members across West Virginia representing a cross section of the state’s economy.
