SAVE THE DATE: Mississippi Tort Reform Conference May 14 in Jackson

Date: April 28, 2014

NFIB/Mississippi is working with other business groups to organize a conference marking the 10th anniversary of tort reform in Mississippi. NFIB organized its members to tell their legislators to vote "yes" on this landmark legislation.

The conference will be Wednesday, May 14, from 2-5 p.m. at the Jackson Convention Center. There's no cost to attend, but space is limited, so please click here to register.

Speakers will include former Gov. Haley Barbour. Invited speakers include Gov. Phil Bryant, Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves and Speaker Philip Gunn.

Topics will include a look at the results of the legislation and issues that could undo the state's progress.

"Mississippi is just one court decision or one election away from returning to 'jackpot justice,'" said Ron Aldridge, state director of NFIB/Mississippi. "We must remain vigilant in protecting what we fought so hard to pass."
