Presidential Candidate Answers Questions in Nationwide
TeleForum

Washington,
DC (November 4, 2015)
– This evening, presidential candidate Senator Marco Rubio
answered questions from business leaders in a nationwide TeleForum. A coalition
of business groups including the National Federation of Independent Business
organized the call for their members. Rubio discussed a wide variety of topics
including health care costs, energy policy and labor regulations.

“Small
business is the backbone of our economy, and job creators deserve to know where
the presidential candidates stand on key economic issues,” said NFIB CEO Dan Danner. “We are grateful that
Senator Rubio took the time to answer questions about where he stands on big issues
that affect jobs and growth. Our members appreciate the dialogue and look
forward to hearing from additional candidates before the voting starts next
year.”

Rubio
was the first leading presidential contender to accept the invitation to speak
with members of the business coalition composed of Associated General
Contractors, Associated Builders and Contractors, BIPAC, National Association
of Manufacturers, NFIB and the National Retail Federation. Top polling
candidates from both parties have been invited to participate in the
TeleForums.

Members asked questions about the Obamacare health insurance
tax, extending pro-business tax policies, the Department of Labor’s overtime
regulations, the new EPA Waters of the United States rule, and a number of
other concerns. About 7,600 members of the coalition listened into the call.
