RI Economy

Great news! Rhode Island no longer has the highest
unemployment rate in the nation. With the tick down in the state’s unemployment
rate to 7.7% Rhode Islanders can shed that unwanted label. On the downside, a reduction
in the labor force contributed to the lower unemployment rate and the state’s
unemployment rate remains a point and a half higher than the national rate.
