Regulation Reform

For a second year in
a row, NFIB supported legislation that would establish a quarterly implementation schedule for new,
non-emergency regulations.  Currently,
new regulations go into effect year-round with an average of six regulatory
changes made daily.  According to the
Maryland Register state agencies made 2,391 non-emergency regulatory changes in
2013, up from the 1,954 changes made in 2012.
