Rauner Names NFIB State Director to Labor Board

Gov. Bruce Rauner has named NFIB/Illinois State Director Kim Clarke Maisch to a two-year term on the Labor Advisory Board.

The purpose of the 13-member board is to provide a forum for interested parties to discuss issues affecting Illinois workers, including labor laws administered and enforced by the Department of Labor. The board advises the Director of Labor regarding labor policy and enforcement of laws, reviews statutes enforced by the Department and provides recommendations regarding the department’s administrative regulations. Board members are not compensated.

Maisch has been state director of the National Federation of Independent Business since 1998. She lives in Springfield.
