RAUNER BRINGS TURNAROUND MESSAGE TO NFIB MEMBER IN ROCKFORD
This
week Governor Bruce Rauner visited NFIB/Illinois member Karl Kegel, Kegel
Motorcycles, in Rockford, Illinois touting his plan to turn around the state.
Kegel,
who owns the oldest Harley-Davidson dealership in the world, said he was
thrilled to have Governor Rauner visit and was especially eager to hear about
how the Governor plans to reform the state’s expensive workers’ compensation
system.
In
front of about 40 NFIB small business owners, Governor Rauner reiterated the
need for Illinois’ to grow its way out of the fiscal mess and help small
business owners succeed. He also asked the owners to be vocal to their
lawmakers and the press about their need for workers’ compensation reform,
changes in prevailing wage and keep taxes low.
