Randazzo v. Jefferson Parish

Date: July 13, 2012

This case involves a sales tax dispute with a local Parish in Louisiana.  The Parish proceeded with a tax collection action without allowing the taxpayer to exercise proper due process rights.  The lower court agreed with the taxpayer, but the Court of Appeals overturned the ruling. Now we have filed an amicus brief in the Louisiana Supreme Court. We are urging the court to emphasize the fundamental importance of protecting due process rights, especially in tax collection cases.
