NFIB/MD Paid Leave

Unions continue to push for a Maryland law requiring all businesses regardless of size to provide paid leave to workers for a number of reasons, sick, vacation and domestic issues. Federal law (FMLA) exempts businesses with 50 or fewer employees. Maryland’s unions want to remove that exemption.
