News Release From NFIB/Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb., April 9, 2014—Candidates for the U.S. Senate will have a chance to give their views about Nebraska’s largest employer and biggest job-creator – small business – at a forum hosted by the National Federation of Independent Business, America’s Voice of Small Business.
The forum, co-sponsored by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, Nebraska Farm Bureau, Business-Industry Political Action Committee and the National Association of Manufacturers, will be held at the Sheraton Omaha Hotel on Tuesday, April 22, beginning at 6 p.m. with a candidate meet and greet, followed at 7 p.m. by the forum.
Small businesses are not smaller versions of bigger businesses. They have uniquely different difficulties in remaining solvent. A special webpage listing those difficulties, what a small business is, and what NFIB is, can be found here.
Six candidates have confirmed their participation: Sid Dinsdale, Dave Domina, Clifton Johnson, Bart McLeay, Shane Osborn and Ben Sasse.
The forum is open to the public, but a reservation is required and costs $10 per person. Reservations can be made by email to NFIB Member Support Manager Stephanie Wentz, firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling her at 866-639-1846. Media are invited to attend compliments of NFIB.
