Madison (August 4, 2014) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), which
represents roughly 10,000 small business owners in Wisconsin, today endorsed Congressman Reid Ribble for reelection
in the 8th Congressional
District.
“Reid
Ribble spent most of his life working in and eventually running his family’s
business. He views the issues from the
same perspective that our members see the issues,” said NFIB Wisconsin State Director Bill G. Smith. “He’s got small business experience, which is
badly lacking in Washington and we’re very proud to support his reelection.”
Ribble
has a perfect score so far on the NFIB Voting Record for the 113th
Congress. He also earned a perfect 100
percent score in the previous Congress.
“His
experience as a small business owner has very clearly influenced the way he
approaches these issues,” said NFIB Vice
President Lisa Goeas. “Wisconsin
small business owners couldn’t have asked for a better representative in
Washington and our members in the 8th Congressional District will be
working hard this year to send him back to Congress.”
NFIB
endorses incumbents based on their voting record on the key issues determined
by member ballots sent out nationwide every session of Congress. Only
incumbents that vote with NFIB members seven out of 10 times are eligible to be
endorsed. In this Congress, Ribble has
voted for the NFIB position on every key issue.
He did so in the last session as well.
“He’s
one of the most consistent supporters of small business in Washington and it’s
important for Wisconsin small business owners to have that kind of
representation,” said Smith.
