NFIB’s Road Team Travels the Country to Reach Small Business Voters

Date: November 06, 2014

In the days and weeks building up to the Nov. 4 midterm
election, NFIB’s Road Team traveled across several key Senate states, including
Colorado, Iowa, New Hampshire, and North Carolina–as well as New York’s 1st District, where there was a hotly contested House race–with the goal of
encouraging our members to get out and vote for the small-business candidates
in those races.

Our Road Team went door to door to nearly 300 member
businesses across the country, delivering small-business voter guides and
side-by-side comparisons of where the candidates stand on key business issues.
This offered a great opportunity not only for our members to receive important
information and discuss the races with our staff, but also for our team to feel
our members’ frustrations with Washington, their enthusiasm for change, and
perhaps most importantly, the passion they have for their businesses and their
employees.

This year’s Road Team saw victories in three out of the four
key Senate states we visited, and we were excited to see Lee Zeldin win in
NY-01.

Check out some of the photos of our 2014 Road Team with our small-business candidates (and a few other familiar faces):
