Date: August 25, 2014

(August 25, 2014) The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), New York’s leading small business advocacy organization, announced today the recipients of the “Guardian Award”.  This award, which is NFIB’s highest honor, is reserved for elected officials who vote and stand up consistently in the interest of New York small business owners.  The 2014 Guardians are listed below:

Senator Lee Zeldin (R)

Senator Michael Ranzenhofer (R)

Senator James Seward (R)

Assemblyman Brian Kolb (R)

Assemblyman Jane Corwin (R)

“These five lawmakers have been tremendous advocates for New York’s small business owners and I am proud to present the NFIB Guardian award to each of these lawmakers.   Their steadfast commitment in fighting for main street employers has been exemplary and we look forward to continuing our work together to make significant progress for small business in this state,” said Mike Durant, NFIB/NY State Director.
