NFIB/Maryland Member Sunrise Safety Services Celebrates 20th Anniversary!

We were thrilled to spend the day with the Sunrise Safety Services staff on June 12 to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. Margaret (Cathy) Vogel’s story is a true small business success story.
She founded Sunrise Safety Services, starting her business in June of 1995
in an 8’x12’ room in her basement. She started with $35,000, 4 employees, a 1979 Mercedes,
and a 1987 Ford Truck purchased from BARC. Sunrise is now housed in a 30,000 square foot facility with 80 employees, a fleet of 31 trucks and is
the largest minority owned sign fabrication shop manufacturer in the State of Maryland.
Watching the employees each say a few words about Cathy, it was apparent that she’s not only viewed as a boss but also as family. Cheers to Cathy and the entire team!
