Indianapolis (April 24, 2014) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) today announced its support for the reelection of Congressman Larry Bucshon in the 8th Congressional District.
“Indiana small business owners couldn’t ask for a more reliable ally in Washington and we are very proud to support Larry Bucshon for reelection,” said NFIB/Indiana State Director Barbara Quandt.
NFIB is the country’s leading advocate for small business owners representing roughly 15,000 members in Indiana. The group endorses candidates based on their voting record on key issues identified by its members such as health care, taxes, labor and regulatory issues. NFIB tracks the votes of every member of Congress and Bucshon earned a perfect 100 percent to date in the 113th Congress.
“On every one of the key NFIB issues this Congress, Larry Bucshon stood by Indiana small businesses,” said Quandt. “He’s been an extremely important voice in Washington for small business owners and our members are very enthusiastic about his campaign for reelection.”
Bucshon’s endorsement was made by the NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee. Surveys show that small business owners are influential in their communities and NFIB members in Indiana’s 8th Congressional District will work hard this year to send Larry Bucshon back to Washington.
