NFIB/CA Celebrates with YEF Winners in Northern California

Author: Michelle Orrock Date: August 05, 2014

Over the past few months, NFIB/CA staff have had the opportunity to meet with and recognize our Northern California Young Entrepreneur Scholarship winners.  We started out the summer by heading north to Red Bluff, California to recognize Matthew Southwick for his businesses Matt's Landscaping and Matt's Firewood.  This young man has businesses that are operational year round no matter what the weather!

For our next student recognition, we headed to Castro Valley in the Bay Area to meet Stephen Ou.  Stephen started an online company that helps businesses work with popular web applications and provides technology consulting.  Stephen's work has received recognition from media outlets including Forbes, The Huffington Post, The Atlantic and many more.

Erin Ryan with Congressman Doug LaMalfa's office presents Matthew Southwick with a certificate recognizing his YEF award.

Stephen Ou receives his 'big check' from Justin Adams, his nominator and NFIB/CA Leadership Council member.
