NFIB Coming to San Angelo for Legislative Luncheon

NFIB/Texas Executive Director Will Newton will provide an update on the 83rd legislative session, the bills that resulted from session, and how they affect small businesses across the state. He will also discuss the upcoming elections and how potential outcomes will change the make-up of the Legislature.

He will delve into employer/employee relationship issues, tax and unemployment reform and – of course – healthcare.

You can also expect to learn what’s happening in Interim hearings at the Capitol and possible items in the coming legislative session.

On the federal level, Newton will provide a brief overview of our lobbying efforts in Washington, D.C. on subjects ranging from healthcare to employment law to tax reform.
