NFIB: Governor Bryant Earns Small-Business Endorsement

Date: October 22, 2015

Ron Aldridge, state director of the National Federation of Independent Business, said today that Mississippi’s leading small-business association is endorsing Phil Bryant for a second term as governor. The endorsement comes from the NFIB/Mississippi SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the political action committee for NFIB’s membership in Mississippi.

“Our members support the candidates who consistently support small business with more than a sound bite, and Phil Bryant has proven that he not only understands the challenges facing our small, family businesses in their fight to survive and grow, but works toward solutions,” Aldridge said.

NFIB’s political support is based on the governor’s positions and unwavering track record as a genuine advocate on small-business issues, Aldridge said.

“Phil Bryant knows that in order to create jobs and more taxpayers, you have to support Mississippi’s job creators, its small businesses,” Aldridge said. “He has successfully lowered tax rates, opposed excessive mandates and regulations, ensured the continued protection of our legal climate, pursued more effective workforce training and done everything he can to ensure that state government lives within its means.

“Phil Bryant can be counted on to stand up for small business and the principle of free enterprise,” Aldridge said. “His continued leadership will put our great state on the pathway to success that benefits us all.”

Today’s endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state’s small businesses behind Bryant. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and actively encourage their friends, family members and acquaintances to vote.
