NFIB Endorses Scalise, Boustany and Fleming

Date: September 26, 2014

NFIB, Louisiana’s and the nation’s leading small-business association, today announced the endorsement of three members of the U.S. House of Representatives running for reelection.
“We support the candidates who support small business, and these members of Congress have shown our members they will do everything they can to create an even playing field and make it easier for small businesses to grow and create jobs,” said Dawn Starns, state director of NFIB/Louisiana, noting that all three incumbents have earned 100-percent NFIB voting records so far during the 113th Congress.
The candidates are:
Steve Scalise (1st District)
Charles Boustany (3rd District)
John Fleming (4th District)
NFIB has over 4,000 dues-paying members in Louisiana, representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsements come from NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the association’s political action committee, and are based on positions regarding key small-business issues including health care, taxes, and labor and regulatory issues.
Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for the candidates on Election Day.
