NFIB Endorses Ricketts for Governor

Date: September 08, 2014

LINCOLN, Neb., Sept. 8, 2014—America’s voice of small business today announced its endorsement of Pete Ricketts for governor.
The endorsement was made by the National Federation of Independent Business’ SAFE Trust (Save America’s Free Enterprise), the association’s political action committee, after polling its members and weighing the responses to a candidate questionnaire both Ricketts and opponent Chuck Hassebrook returned.
“After voting by 85 percent to endorse in this election, 93 percent of our members responding opted to endorse Ricketts with 7 percent for Hassebrook,” said Bob Hallstrom, Nebraska state director for NFIB. “Additionally, Ricketts scored 100 percent on our candidate questionnaire to Hassebrook’s 63 percent. Ricketts was just stronger on the core issues that matter to small businesses at the state level the most, such as workers’ compensation and tax reform.”
