NFIB Endorses Jay Trumbull in House District 6

Tallahassee, July 31, 2014 – The National Federation of Independent Business, Florida’s leading small-business association, today announced its endorsement of Jay Trumbull in House District 6.

“Jay’s priorities align with those of the small business community, and he has demonstrated that he genuinely understands the challenges that small business owners in Florida are facing,” said Bill Herrle, NFIB/Florida Executive Director. “Jay’s experience operating his family business makes him an ideal candidate to represent our members’ interests in the Florida House, and we look forward to working with him to ensure Florida maintains its pro-small business climate.”

Jay has been involved with the operations of his family’s small water conditioning business since age 14, which inspired him to pursue his degree in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. After college, Jay returned to the family business where he worked his way up to the management team.

“NFIB is one of the best advocates for small businesses in the country, and their endorsement is a signal that our agenda for economic growth is the right one,” said Jay Trumbull.  “Our campaign will continue to stress the need to reduce the regulatory burden, reduce lawsuit abuse, and stand up to the overreach of the federal government.”

The endorsement comes from the NFIB/Florida SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the political action committee for NFIB/Florida’s membership, and is based on candidates’ positions regarding key small-business issues including healthcare, taxes, and labor and regulatory issues.
