The National Federation of Independent Business, California’s and the nation’s leading small business association, today announced the endorsement of Janet Nguyen for Senate District 34.
“NFIB is proud to enthusiastically endorse Janet Nguyen for the State Senate – the only candidate in this race with the experience and commitment to fight for small businesses and job creation,” said John Kabateck, NFIB/CA executive director. “Janet has proven to be a dedicated Orange County leader focused on lowering taxes, stopping burdensome regulations, and stemming the tide of frivolous lawsuits. Her opponent, Jose Solorio, on the other hand, had a disappointing below-average voting record with small business throughout his tenure in the Legislature, placing public employee unions and other special interests above Main Street in his own backyard. Janet is the only legitimate small business candidate in this race and as such has earned our full support.”
NFIB has more than 23,000 dues-paying members in California representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsement comes from NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the organization’s political action committee, and is based on positions regarding key small-business issues including health care, taxes, labor and regulatory issues.
Small business owners and their employees vote in high
numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and
acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB
will encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for
candidates in the June 3 primary and again in November.
