NFIB Endorses Crawford, Womack in May 20 Congressional Primary

Date: May 07, 2014

The National Federation of Independent Business, Arkansas’ and the nation’s leading small-business association, today announced the endorsement of two members of the U.S. House of Representatives running for reelection.

“We support the candidates who support small business, and each of these members of Congress has earned a 100-percent NFIB voting record this Congress.” said Sylvester Smith, state director of NFIB/Arkansas.

The candidates are:

Rick Crawford (1st District)
Steve Womack (3rd District)

“Day in and day out, these Members of Congress have supported Main Street Arkansas by consistently voting for legislation that will help our small businesses grow and create jobs,” Smith said.

NFIB has 4,200 dues-paying members in Arkansas representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsements come from NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the association’s political action committee, and are based on positions regarding key small-business issues including health care, taxes, and labor and regulatory issues.

Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for the candidates in the May 20 primary and again in November.
