The National Federation of Independent Business, Georgia’s and the nation’s leading small-business association, today announced the endorsement of six members of the U.S. House of Representatives running for reelection.
“We support the candidates who support small business, and each of these members of congress has earned a 100-percent NFIB voting record this Congress," said Kyle Jackson, state director of NFIB/Georgia.
The candidates are:
• Lynn Westmoreland (3rd District)
• Tom Price (6th District)
• Rob Woodall (7th District)
• Austin Scott (8th District)
• Doug Collins (9th District)
• Tom Graves (14th District)
"Day in and day out, these members of Congress have supported Main Street Georgia by consistently voting for legislation that will help our small businesses grow and create jobs," Jackson said.
NFIB has over 7,000 dues-paying members in Georgia representing a cross-section of the state's economy. The endorsements come from NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the association’s political action committee, and are based on positions regarding key small-business issues including health care, taxes, and labor and regulatory issues.
Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for the candidates in the May 20 primary and again in November.
