David Cranston Jr. elected by
peers to guide future of NFIB Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG (January 21, 2013) – Pennsylvania’s leading small-business
group, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) today announced
that David Cranston Jr., owner of Cranston Material Handling Equipment Corp. in
Pittsburgh was elected as Chairman of its state Leadership Council.  NFIB represents 15,000 small businesses in
Pennsylvania and 325,000 in the United States. Cranston assumed his new role on
the board this January.

“We are grateful that David has accepted the chairmanship of our
Leadership Council because he brings great business and management skills to
the table,” said Kevin Shivers, Executive Director of NFIB.  “After serving on NFIB Pennsylvania’s board
for many years, David also understands how government policies and regulations
can hamper business and prevent job growth and how we as an organization can
best prevent that.”

David Cranston is President of his family’s business, which distributes
and installs industrial equipment.  The
company’s products help improve a manufacturer’s productivity by solving material
handling challenges and creating efficient storage of preprocess components and
finished products. David has worked at CMHEC since 1983 and took responsibility
for day to day operations in the mid-1990s. He has a degree in business
management from Bob Jones University.

NFIB’s Leadership Council is comprised of experienced and successful
business owners who provide insight and guidance on the organization’s advocacy
efforts in the state capitol of Harrisburg. 
The council includes members from virtually every business sector and
from each region of the state.

Warren Hudak elected by peers
to help guide future of NFIB Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG (January 21, 2013) – Pennsylvania’s leading small-business
group, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) today announced
that Warren Hudak, owner of Hudak and Company in Harrisburg was elected as
Vice-Chairman of its state leadership council. 
NFIB represents 15,000 small businesses in Pennsylvania and 350,000 in
the United States. Hudak assumed his new role on the board this January.

“Warren has a deep knowledge of tax policies, despite their complexity,
and he understands the duplication that exists between the state and federal
tax codes creating hardship for small business,” said Kevin Shivers, Executive
Director of NFIB.  “He has helped our
state organization in so many ways by speaking publicly on behalf of small
businesses, testifying on bills and even raising funds for our PAC.  Warren will be a huge asset to our members in
his new leadership role.”

Warren Hudak owns several businesses including Hudak and Company in
Harrisburg which he has operated since 1986. 
That company offers business consulting services in the areas of taxes,
accounting and strategic planning.

Wayne business owner, David Edman named Chairman of
NFIB’s Small Business

Political Action Committee

HARRISBURG (January 21, 2013) – Pennsylvania’s leading small-business
group, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) today announced
that David Edman, owner of Risk Management Partners in Wayne, Pennsylvania, was
elected as Chairman of its SAFETrust PAC. NFIB represents 15,000 small
businesses in Pennsylvania and 350,000 in the United States. Its political
action committee raises funds to support pro-small-business candidates. Edman
assumed his new role on the board this January.

“David Edman has played a huge roll at NFIB Pennsylvania in recent
years helping us understand and advocate for small business on the new
healthcare law,” said Kevin Shivers, Executive Director of NFIB.  “David knows how poor government policies can
hurt small business so the transition to our political arm is a natural. He
understands politics and the importance of election outcomes and he has many
connections in the Pennsylvania business community. We are so glad he has
agreed to serve in this leadership position.”

David E. Edman is the Managing Partner of Risk
Management Partners, a healthcare consulting and brokerage firm.  He has worked in the healthcare industry for
over 36 years, since receiving a BS in Economics at The Wharton School at the
University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Health Services Management from The
Kellogg School at Northwestern University in 1978. Throughout his career, David
has held senior executive positions in healthcare consulting, operational, and
entrepreneurial settings, successfully implementing value-based purchasing,
performance measurement, and quality-improvement strategies to assist clients
with healthcare cost containment.

Enterprise (SAFE) Trust.  Endorsements
are based exclusively on each candidate’s positions and record on small
business issues regardless of party affiliation
