- Since 2003, the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards have recognized and rewarded high school seniors who already own a small business. Colorado is proud to recognize our young entrepreneurs. Meet this year’s winners and get involved in the 2016 Awards by funding a scholarship or volunteering to interview the students.
Asya Gonzalez, from Centennial, Colorado, is a top 5 finalist for the “2015 NFIB Young Entrepreneur of the Year” and “2015 NFIB Dan Danner Leadership Award.” Each finalist is eligible for a $15,000 scholarship. The remaining three finalists will each receive a $5,000 scholarship. Asya opened her business Stinky Feet Gurlz three years ago at the age of 14. Through Stinky Feet Gurlz, Asya designs fun, 1940’s inspired apparel and accessories. On top of running a creative and stylish business, a portion of the proceeds from every sale is donated to “She is Worth It,” a foundation dedicated to preventative awareness and education of child sex trafficking that Asya created. She is a senior at Arapahoe High School and plans to attend the University of Denver next year.

- Chase Youngman (Castle Rock): NFIB/El Pomar Foundation Young Entrepreneur Award
- Natasha Breakall (Kiowa): NFIB/Bill and Kathy Hybl Young Entrepreneur Award
