NFIB Backs Jim Fischer in NY-20

Albany (September 22, 2014) – The National Federation of Independent Business, the nation’s leading small-business association, today endorsed NFIB member Jim Fischer for U.S. Congress in New York’s 20th Congressional District.

“Our members back the candidates who support small business and Jim Fischer’s firsthand experience dealing with the complex issues small employers face is exactly what the 20th Congressional District needs,” said NFIB/New York State Director Mike Durant.  “He is a real fighter and our members need his leadership in Washington.”

“Over the past 24 years Jim has succeeded in building a respected business that serves clients in business, government, education and public safety,” said Lisa Goeas, NFIB vice president for Political and Grassroots. “He understands that burdening small businesses with unnecessary regulations and excessive taxes makes it even harder for them to grow and create jobs, and he’s committed to bringing the same commonsense approach to reform in Washington,” Goeas said.

Fischer’s endorsement was made by the NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee.  Surveys show that small business owners are influential in their communities and NFIB members in New York’s 20th Congressional District will work hard this year to send Jim Fischer to Washington.
