NFIB Backed Baker’s Victory Celebrated by Small Business

Boston (November 4, 2014): Tonight the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is joining thousands of voters in Massachusetts in congratulating Governor-Elect Baker on a resounding victory.

“On behalf of our 8,000 members in Massachusetts that have been trying for years to work towards policies that will help small businesses and stimulate real job growth, we congratulate Charlie Baker and for the first time in recent memory, are optimistic that our states economic climate will take a turn for the better.” said Bill Vernon, NFIB/Massachusetts state director. “Throughout his campaign, Charlie Baker’s positions on the issues reflected his practical understanding based on real experience,” continued Vernon. 

  

Vernon also stated that his members are especially supportive of Baker’s proposed remedy for healthcare, which emphasizes consumer choice and market competition. 

 

“Charlie Baker has solutions that will fundamentally change the consumer incentives and bring market forces to healthcare,” said Vernon. “We look forward to seeing his campaign platform translated into solid policy for the state of Massachusetts.”
