The state has received an “F” for its tax climate every year since 2009.
New Jersey trails the Mid Atlantic region when it comes to its manufacturing and logistics industry climate, according to a new study.
According to the 2015 Manufacturing and Logistics National Report, the state scored a “C-” overall, including “Fs” in two categories: “tax climate” and “expected liability gap”—a nod to its ailing pension debt. The state has received an “F” for its tax climate every year since 2009, when the survey began, conducted by Indiana-based Conexus and Ball State University.
The state did receive some more positive marks when it came to several categories, including a “B” for the health of its logistics industry and its “productivity and innovation.”
