Minimum Wage Petition Signatures Submitted

Date: July 11, 2014

Nebraska voters may get a chance this November to vote on a measure to increase the state’s minimum wage. Organizers of the petition initiative turned in 134,899 signatures to the Secretary of State Office in an effort to put the measure on the General Election Ballot. The initiative would raise the minimum wage in Nebraska to $9 per hour by 2016.

NFIB successfully opposed efforts to raise the minimum wage in the Nebraska Legislature last session.
