The first phase of the minimum wage increase,
which was voted into law earlier this year, will go into effect on Thursday January 1, raising minimum wage to $8.00 per hour. The second phase of the increase will be effective July 1, 2015 and will
raise the state minimum wage to $8.25 per hour. NFIB strongly opposed

Wage phase-in, note two increases in 2015:
- January 1, 2015 –
$8.00/hour - July 1, 2015 – $8.25
- July 1, 2016 – $8.75
- July 1, 2017 – $9.25
- July 1, 2018 – $10.10
