Main Street Readies For November 29

Date: November 25, 2014

DENVER, Colo., Nov. 25, 2014—With only days to go, Main Street enterprises throughout Colorado are readying for Small Business Saturday on November 29.
“This is the fifth year of a national campaign to steal a little of Black Friday’s thunder,” said Tony Gagliardi, Colorado state director for the National Federation of Independent Business, “and it’s paying some nice dividends for the economy. Sales at local, independent firms exceeded $5.7 billion after last year’s promotion. More importantly, it’s acquainting consumers with an array of interesting shops they just can’t find in a suburban shopping mall, shops right on the Main Streets of the communities in which they live.”
This year’s Small Business Saturday is a joint campaign with American Express and NFIB, America’s largest small business association. Both organizations are giving Main Street merchants across America an opportunity to post descriptions about their shops and any special deals they’re offering For Small Business Saturday. Colorado merchants taking advantage of NFIB’s offer included:
  • Boulder—Childish Things Consignment
  • Burlington—Zimbelman’s Jewelry
  • Colorado Springs—Little Sprouts Learning Center; Merritt General Contractors; TGF Auto Detailing; Viking Safe & Lock
  • Denver—Eccentricity; Money Talk Matters
  • Fowler—Flowers By Jeanne
  • Grand Junction—Stranger & Lautz Professional Group
  • Greeley—Rapid Rover Training
  • Loveland—Breath of Life Bodywork
  • Monarch—Ski Town Condos Vacation Rentals
  • Montrose—MAX Archery; Mohr’s Automotive
  • Mosca—Colorado Gators Reptile Park
  • Wheat Ridge—Computer Clinic; Walker’s Quality Cage & Feed Supply
