LISTEN: NFIB Launches Radio Spot Supporting Rauner

Date: October 21, 2014

The state office of the National Federation of Independent Business has hit the airwaves urging voters to support Bruce Rauner for governor.

“Bruce Rauner is clearly the best choice for small business,” said Kim Clarke Maisch, state director of NFIB/Illinois. “Bruce Rauner comes from the business community. He understands that government mandates and high taxes make it even harder for small, family businesses to grow and create jobs.”

“Our members overwhelmingly support Bruce Rauner, and we are urging voters to get out and vote in what is arguably the most crucial gubernatorial race they will face in a long time,” said Maisch, who noted a Pew Center poll which indicated that small-business owners are the most trusted group in America. “Bruce Rauner has our stamp of approval, and that means something among voters and taxpayers.”

The features NFIB member Mike Nobis of Quincy.

The 60-second spots are paid for by the NFIB/Illinois political action committee, the SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust.
