Jan Haviland, president of Linn-based Haviland Corp., has been named to the National Federation of Independent Business state Leadership Council.
The Leadership Council is an advisory board that assists the association in developing strategies to support small businesses throughout the state. Leadership Council members are nominated either by NFIB’s state director or current board members and elected by the council.
“Jan will be a great addition to our Leadership Council,” said Brad Jones, state director of NFIB/Missouri. “She cares tremendously about the free enterprise system and ensuring that small businesses have an even playing field.
“Jan will bring a lot of energy and experience to the council, and we’re excited to have her on board,” Jones said. Founded in 1946, Haviland Corp. is a family-owned business that makes floor and window squeegees and related products.
Jan Haviland is the second generation of her family to work at the company. Her daughter, Alice Haviland Andrews, is a director of the company.
NFIB/Missouri is the state’s leading small-business association, with over 8,000 dues-paying member businesses representing a cross section of the state’s economy. To learn more, visit www.NFIB.com/MO or follow @NFIB_MO on Twitter.
