The North Carolina General Assembly has reconvened in Raleigh to begin the budget adjustment session.
Lawmakers face a $445 million dollar shortfall, which may make it difficult for them to keep their promise to give teachers and state workers a pay raise.
The session is scheduled to adjourn June 30 but legislators might have to extend that deadline.
Other issues this session will include the need for sensible regulations,
tax reform, environmental cleanup and fracking.
NFIB/North Carolina will be following the session closely and will fight to promote and protect the right of our members to own, operate and grow their businesses.
