Larry Stottlemyer, CEO of Adventure Park USA in
New Market, was presented with the Small Business Champion Award by the
Maryland office of the National Federation of Independent Business.
The
Small Business Champion Award honors NFIB members who go the extra mile
to help the association promote and protect the right of its members to
own, operate and grow their businesses.
“NFIB is the voice of
small business, both in Annapolis and in Washington, D.C., but our voice
can’t be heard without members like Larry Stottlemyer,” said Jessica
Cooper, state director of NFIB/Maryland.
Stottlemyer was one of the most outspoken NFIB/Maryland members regarding the minimum wage hike.
“This award is our way of thanking him for doing so much to help defend rights for small businesses in Maryland,” Cooper said.
NFIB
is the nation’s leading small-business association, with 350,000
dues-paying members nationwide, including 3,500 in Maryland.
